July 14, 2023
Dear Patients and Friends,
On behalf of my entire staff and myself, I want you to know how much we appreciate your friendship, support, and trust in our practice. After much consideration, I have made the decision to retire from dentistry. As a result, I have been searching for an experienced, qualified doctor to join our practice and continue the legacy of caring and high-quality care you have all come to expect. I am pleased to announce that Dr. Danny Chirla will assume ownership of our practice starting this July 14th.
I am proud to entrust my practice to a knowledgeable and caring doctor who shares my philosophy of providing quality dentistry for my patients in a thoughtful and gentle manner. I also take comfort in the fact that our wonderful staff will continue working in the practice and carry on with their commitment to providing you with the high standard of dental care and service you are accustomed to.
Dr. Danny Chirla was educated at Texas A&M University, taking a degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a second degree in Public Health. From there he went to the College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee, receiving the D.D.S. in 2014.
In his spare time, Dr. Chirla enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Katharine, and their daughter, Gianna. He is active in his local church, enjoys traveling with his family, grilling outdoors (when it’s not too hot), and scoping out the Houston restaurant scene. He is also an avid sports fan, particularly of the Houston Rockets and his alma mater, the Texas A&M Aggie football team.
Dr. Chirla’s own past was essential to his development into a practicing doctor. He was born in Romania and moved to the United States at a young age. Dr. Chirla says, “My parents, among many relations of mine, fled communist Romania, to start fresh in the U.S. The experience gave me that sense of affectionate solidarity with the people around me. Any success on my own part I owe to them. Dr. Miller has given me the opportunity to practice the art and science of dentistry, to reciprocate the sort of kind and sympathetic care others showed me, and to continue his meaningful work. I believe in building trust with the patient,” he said. “These personal relationships are incredibly important in a good doctor. Everyone is, of course, unique, down to their teeth. But the goal is the same with each individual patient: to help them achieve optimum oral health to enhance their lives.”
It has been a privilege to be your dentist and to serve my community for the past 39 years, and I am grateful for all the patients and friends I have gotten to know along the way. Thank you for being part of my practice and for continuing to support me and Dr. Chirla during this transition.
We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
With warm regards,
Eric Miller, DDS
